Health & Safety

Gibbs Surfacing Ltd regard the promotion of Health & Safety measures as a mutual objective for management and employees at all levels. Our aim is to implement the highest standards possible to create a safe working environment for all which will hopefully reduce accidents and save lives.

As such, Mrs C Gibbs, Director, has a particular responsibility to identify any training needs and ensure these policies are carried out. In addition, an outside consultancy company are employed for more specialist advice and training. The routine monitoring and review of Health & Safety issues are undertaken by site management in combination with the consultancy, where needed, during projects which warrant this service. Regular audits are also completed. Where applicable, management will hold consultations with employees on matters which affect their Health & Safety, via Notice boards, Tool Box Talks and direct communication. This strategic approach is geared up to the protection of everyone involved in, and affected by our operations. We acknowledge that successful Health & Safety management is integral to successful business performance.

Gibbs Surfacing Ltd is also committed to the objectives of major contractors in providing the highest standards of training. As part of this commitment, we ensure that all operatives must hold a valid CSCS card with a number also trained in plant operation holding a valid CPCS card.
