Founded in 1967, Gibbs Surfacing Ltd is a Swindon based surfacing contractor established and run by the Gibbs family.

Our aim is to provide high quality asphalt and bitumen macadam surfacing solutions to all our existing customers ranging from large multi national contractors, government and local authorities, civil engineers and smaller local builders.

Successfully administering contracts in both the Commercial and Industrial sectors, we have developed a reputation for service and workmanship of the highest standards, attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer service.

With a dedicated supervisor allocated to each of our machine lay gangs, we offer our customers a full range of design and consultancy services in addition to value engineering recommendations. We will always endeavour to check the correct formation levels are achieved to avoid any unnecessary costs being incurred.

With a current annual turnover in excess of £7.5 million, we can attribute our growth to date to the high degree of customer satisfaction, recommendations and competitive pricing whilst offering a flexible and friendly approach providing our customers with a sought after ‘personal touch’, they seek. This philosophy has resulted in much repeat business.

With over 130,000 tons of bituminous materials procured annually, we have developed a very strong relationship with all our major tarmac/asphalt suppliers. This close working association enables us
to be on a preferential delivery programme which guarantees delivery of materials to site. With four CITB accredited gangs in operation and each with a Bitelli 650 Paver, we are able to provide sufficient resources on site to avoid potential delays in the event of a possible breakdown. We are aware of the tight schedules needed to be achieved on most contracts and with this in mind, we rarely put our customers in a position where deadlines cannot be achieved due to poor deliveries or plant breakdowns.

With over £1 million pounds of re-investment on plant and equipment over the last 2 years, Gibbs 35 strong professionally trained staff are able to achieve the high standards expected in the industry and continually work hard to meet all the requirements of our customers.
